Modroid-v6.5 FINAL is based on firmware 1.5.1.

Thanks to user feedback and testing/bug reporting. V6.5 is now available. Everything should now be working out of the box. This will also be my last update unless Eken releases an android 2.3 firmware.

Rooted
Working android market
Green color for framework/icons
Apps2sd working again
Louder audio than previous releases
Wifi should now work on ALL compatible devices
Camera now works on both blue and green led devices
Added hosts file to block most in app ads and web page ads

Flashing instructions and other info included in the download.

Hi

Sorry for dotting around with posts. Iam literally baffled by the amount of variations of tablet and OS on offer

As I am not sure exactly which tablet I have (Might be a MID, miught be a VM 8650) would this be a good OS to go for being as it appears to cover both types?

Thanks, gareth

when i book my mid tablets it stays blank, nothing on screen even after 15min. When i download firmware from the merimobile and try to install the screen get stuck on "prepare software package". and stays there. And now when i boot the device without SD card in, it stays blank screen.

Its Green light, 7", MID written on the box. with 256MB RAM and 2GB nand flash.

Please guide me what ROM will work here? I tried modroid V4, uberiod hybrid v5 and Mid7 from merimobile.com

Regards
Chetan

Folks
There are different screens on different versions. If your screen doesn't work you need to substitute the correct env_uboot file for your screen and reinstall the firmware.

I've tried few env_boot file but still doesn't work. How do I know which env_boot file is correct for my device?

There is a env_boot file with the touchcodec uor615x almost working but when I touch at the center it will point a the edge? Any way to solve this?

Download Modroid-v4

Is it possible to provide another mirror? Filefactory is capping everybody @ 50kB/sec, it will take almost 40minutes to download your ROM =/

Very nice ROM !! Runs much faster on my tablet than does Singularity or Uberoid. And not as hot as DrCheap's ROM. I'm loving it so far! Thanks!

works nice sofar. much better than the previous version.

I was slightly bored and decided to give it one last kick in the pants before making modroid a final release.
V4 is now smaller (102mb) and faster than previous releases.
New framework mods. The orange is mostly gone and replaced with green. Some new icons as well.
Removed most of the previously installed apk's. Only left some basics. Users can get whatever they need from the market anyway.
Changed the lock screen. Looks much nicer than before.
Tweaked what i could to the best of my knowledge. Don't think i can squeeze much more out of these wm8650's.
Flashing instructions and other info included in the download.

Try this env_uboot. Place it in /FirmwareInstall/env and reflash.

I found a solution.
Leave the figure after setenv wmt.io.ts.2dcal empty.
After done reflash, bootup with use mouse connected then use the mouse to access the TouchPanel Calibration. Disconnect the usb mouse once the calibration start.
