Hey guys,

since some days I have my Motorola Xoom and I like it. Android 3.01 is very fast and stable. The new design brings a lot but the seller told me, that it could skype very easy. First it wasn't easy to find a version of skype to download, because from market I couldn't download it. Now I got such downloadable version and I tried to make a video call and I couldn't get a video screen. Theres no extra funtion for it.

Can someone help me please.

I successfully downloaded Skype from the App store on my new Asus Transformer. At one point, I found a function to import contacts from Google. I have not been able to find this function again. How do I get to it?

So, Skype supports video chat now? I tried on my tablet tablet before but failed, so anyone share some successful experience?

Sorry dude, it only supports video for a select list of devices, and not the Dropad. Check the support list on the Market.

Skype video calling does not work on Tegra 2 because it is missing NEON. Skype only released video calling for CPUs that have NEON (ie, like having SSE2 on x86).

Also, if you check "video calling is available" section on Market you will see that none of those devices use Tegra 2. All those devices use CPUs that support NEON.

People will have to push Skype (or Nvidia) to release a non-NEON version of video calling to work on Tegra 2 tablets. Applications or parts of programs that use NEON will never work on Tegra 2!

Back in Jan 2011, Nvidia had created a non-NEON version of video calling for Skype. I believe this is unreleased and not sure the status.

Below is Nvidia showing their non-NEON video calling working. Once Nvidia releases it; you should have video chat on Tegra 2 tablets.

*YUANDAO N80 DUAL (RK3066)
*CUBE U30GT (RK3066)- Defective; buttons broke in 2-3 weeks; Bad quality control!!! Must return to China for repair! =(
*WOPAD I7 (RK2918)
