If "Superuser" is installed by "Z4oot" most likely your device is "Rooted" to double check it go Z4root App again and reroot your device again OR go to Market and look for an App called "Root Checker", it will verify your root.
Good Luck.

OK...

I seem to have done something wrong. I'm rooted. I have the superuser app. I am using the google envoronment to get google market. I run app killer memory optimizer on aggressive, but it might be too aggressive? Set cpu is running with the pnly ARM config available.

I have a great many apps installed. Certain apps run on reboot and it really, really pisses me off. Music, maps, app store, email and gmail all like to run no matter what.

I have tried to delete gmail.apk from system/app in esfilemanager and it says i can't.

Why?

Whatvdo I need to do to give myself superuser access?

Install Titanium backup Downloadand delete or freeze what ever you want but be careful before deleting anything, first "Freeze It" see the impact and than "delete it" if you want.
Good Luck!!

Edit: I would not suggest you to delete Gmail apk because lot of other APPS are dependent on it e.g Market. Rest is upto you.
