My tablet is dead.

Resoldered the battery wires (correctly) and a puff of smoke raised up from the power inductor (L1).
I replaced the inductor but it hasn't made any difference.

I'm quite disappointed and never got to confirm whether the volume switch functions or not.

Hi all, I am having some problems... First of all I purchased my tablet of of lightinthbox.com, and everything I have seen points to it being the 816r2, but I am having a really hard time getting the adb interface to work. I downloaded your Tasselhof-RootScript file, and I have tried several adb drivers, on both windows 7 64 bit and windows xp 32 bit, but with no luck. Here are my specs and a pic, please if you could tell me if this is indeed the 816r2, and if so what I might do to get adb working so I can root this thing that would be wonderful. Hi all, I am wondering if you can tell me if I do indeed have the 816R2, because the sight I bought if from was lightinthebox.com, and they called it the "gladiator" but from what I can tell its a Chinese repro of the 816R2. If it is, I am having some problems getting adb to work and without adb I can't root it Z4root doesn't work for some reason, and I'm about to pull my hair out, so any help would be great. Here are my specs and a pic, hope someone can help!
