Well ehh HELP. Seems to have bricked my device :(. Flashed back to MrTasselhof version 0805. Set setting to dutch. Set device off and.... now nothing. device doesn't even boot up !!!!
What to do ???

edit: had the same with my 816R2 and that was a corrupte bootsector after a broken image dump. Does anyone have an image of the device that ik kan rawcopy back to the sd card ? Or is there a way to flash the firmware directly to sd card ?

Download the firmware and run the one that says Erase Data.
It should rebuild your partitions for you.

Otherwise you can write the full image from one of the other threads.

Then it sounds like you need to open it up... pull out the internal SD card... and image it directly to start fresh.

There is a stickied thread with the Stock 2.2 Image which you should be able to upgrade to 2.3 after.

Thank you very very much MrTasselhof. Flashed the sd card "offline" and got everything up and running again :D . Working with version 0805 again as we speak. Also know what my fault was . I erased the NAND flash by mistake instead of the external sd card

can anyone please upload an image of 2.3 ?

I'm on 2.2 Froyo now but my tablet (T9) can't seem to upgrade to 2.3, there's always an error occuring.
Imaging it directly to internal microSD seems to be the solution. Please Help

SOLVED :good:

Hi out there,

I have the T9 2.2 that includes the android market. My only issue concernes the microphone. I see above where a mention of the mic is listed and a firmware dounload is the fix. Is this the only way to fix the mic?. Anyone?, please and thank you.

Just got T-9 and downloaded 2011-08-05 firmware update to my PC. There are 2 sets of USB drivers: i386 and amd64. My PC is Windows 7 64-bit. Which drivers should I use/copy to my PC--and should they be copied to Windows system 32 or sysWOW64 file? Thanks.

OK, so I received my T9 yesterday and paid for it to be preinstalled to 2.3 prior to arrival from Merimobiles, but they didn't do it (grrr). So, I have downloaded from their link, the 805 2.3 update, but I need some plain english help here, please.

Steps to refresh the firmware (using the PC to the MID for Brush, Suitable for ---- Yingle M728)

The firmware 2.3 firmware for the Andrews VER: 0805

1. Close MID and connect with the PC via USB; extract the downloaded archive to the PC.

(I'm assuming this just means download the firmware onto your PC and extract the file. If so, this is done.)

2 Hold down the "Home" button (circular button panel) just let go, and then "switch key" boot. When the "Updating, please wait" mode screen, release the button

(I watched the video by Tasselhoff. I'm assuming this just means plug it in, press the circle button and the power button until it says 'updating' like on the Youtube vid - could someon confirm please?)

3 and, if not installed android usb driver, PC will be prompted to install the driver. Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" to locate the driver directory "usb_driver_r03-windows" install the driver.

(If your computer does not recognise the device, then please find the driver. However, within the extracted folder, within 'drivers', on my PC, I cannot find a file called 'usb_driver_r03-windows' - could someone tell me where it is?)

4, confirm the driver has been installed, double-click the "first point I upgrade bootloader.bat", 3 seconds after the machine starts to complete the installation, manually shut down, according to two steps, re-enter the upgrade mode.

(OK, this is the most confusing sentence. I'm assuming it means, if all is ok and drivers are loaded etc, double click on the 'Upgradebootloader.bat' from the file on your PC. However, the next part says to manually shut down the tablet 3 seconds after the process begins - really? Do I not let it complete the 'upgradebootloaderbat' installation? Do I stop it abruptly part the way through? If so, how do I shut it down mid upgrade?
Also, if this is shut down three seconds after starting, I assume I then press the circle button and power to get back into the 'update' mode as shown in Tasselhoff's video?)

5, double-click the "clean install. Bat" start flashing the firmware. Brush for about 2-3 minutes after the machine automatically restarted. (For the first time boot time longer, please be patient)

(First off, I have no file called 'clean install. Bat' in my folder. I have 'Keep - dataupdate.bat' and 'Erase - dataupdate.bat'. Which one do I click on / use?
Also, I do not understand the term 'brush for about 2-3 minutes' - does this just mean leave it to load up?)

Upgrade Instructions:
A, upgrade installation: Only upgrade the system, the software did not change (part of the software to be reinstalled before normal use, such as FLASH, etc., the proposed new installation). New install: erase user-installed software and user data, clean install clean version of Andrews.

(The upgrade installation is for what? If I have an earlier version of 2.3? Mine came with 2.2)

B, containing a driver for the WINDOWS 32-bit systems.

Note:
1 google account login and registration, the date and time need to set the current time

2 large game needs to be "spare parts" in the "compatibility mode" to normal full screen uncheck the run.

(What is the 'large game? - is it any game I may have or a particular game?)

3 for the convenience of users play games, we set up a dual SDCARD folder.

1, no TF card users, the game's database can be copied to the FLASH-SDCARD file folder.

(I have no SD card yet, but will do soon. If so, will I need to do the above step in order to complete upgrading to 2.3?)

Once again, I would like to apologise for this message. It was because of all this confusion that I waited for the product to be already preinstalled with 2.3 and then asked Merimobiles to clarify that it would come with it preinstalled, so I wouldn't bother you guys who understand all this. However, they decided not to do it, so now the onus is on me to do it, hence the message. A swift reply would be most grateful, as I'm not willing to do anything with the tablet, as a new update would probably wipe everything I would download / install anything that I would do in the mean time.

I updated my T9 to Gingerbread 2.3 dated 2011-08-05. I have these issues:
- I am no longer able to access the Display settings...it crashes and says "has stopped unexpectedly".
- Youtube says "There was a problem while playing Touch to retry".
- Shutting down the T9 causes it to reset date, time, and font size. Is there no battery to keep these going?
- Wifi still have issues reconnecting when screen turns off.

Maybe you would be better of waiting till a stable version of Gingerbread was released for the T9.

Hello,

The only supported systems for the divers are the 32 bit ones. The ones that you find included are not compatible with 64 bit architecture. In my experience it will hang the bootloader. Best thing to do is find a 32bit system just to do the upgrade.

Out of curiosity, is there any chance of an Android 3.x upgrade being released, and if so, are there any advantages to using 3.x?

I highly doubt it. There are not much 3.0 China Tablets out there.. if there are any.. most of them got 3.0 by community ROMs not via Stock Firmware.
You've seen 3.0? Watch some videos... its sucks performance wise... you need at least a tegra2 kind cpu... and even there it sucks... in my opinion
I apologize for my crappy English in ALL of my Posts already, I hope you understand me. ;)

Even with all the updates it seems your trading off features for other features. I'm currently torn between purchasing or not...can anyone comment on the app market? and video playback?

Sajuuk, :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

thanks for the 0810 , :yahoo: is much better than 0805...
and solves some problems like the video configuration, and wifi appears more stable..
- I still missing the correct keyboard settings to "portuguese brazil" and speech (the voice recognition is ok..)
the keyboard settings show "IME japanese/chinese characters" and canno't be configured to engligsh or another keyboard (in my I need Portuguese Brazil).

The gingerbread ROM's are Both Betas and I don't test anything on them before posting. I'm just re-posting what comes from www.inle.cc as they post it.
If you want to download the files from them you have to go through the untranslated site here

http://www.inle.cc/i...%FE%C9%FD%BC%B6

the names are Chinese but the numbers are easy to understand there is a green down facing arrow to the right of each file click that and it will take you to http://u.115.com the download site.

Here the second row from the bottom is an image that looks like a blue eye with three links beside it one orange and two in blue click either one of the blue links and the download will start.

For a more stable ROM wait until MrTasselhof cleans them up.

To set keyboard to English, tap on Google Search, tap-hold on textbox until menu comes up, tap on select Input method, and finally select Android keyboard.
