Your welcome :)

It would slow it down with open tabs but not to the point of killing the speed, I beleive yours is down to a dodgy wifi unit IMHO - just as we have spoken about before.

Ive left the TXpower setting at 100 to try and help with wifi but seems to be no help in your case :(

Gottit. I'll try and load it at lunchtime.
Just a thought - if there's a WiFi TX, is there a WiFi RX?

Any updates from the people that flashed this on their device?

Just flashed v2, but have a meeting to go to so won't be able to play for a bit. V1 is fine, bar some issues that may be related to my wifi transfer rate.

Hi Roger

tried this on a white M010S - firmware loads but touchscreen doesn't
anyone know which drivers the M010S uses for the touchscreen?

All ok on a M009S though :clapping:

The only thing i do not understand is this market flush

Open Android Market and then Click on Home (launcher)

Go to Settings->Applications->Manage->Running
- Click Market
- Then Clear Cache (NOT CLEAR DATA!!!!)
- Then Force Stop
- Click Google Services Framework
- Click Clear Data
- Click Force Stop

Open Android Market (it will error this is GOOD!)

Shutdown and Restart the tablet
- Wait for Wireless to Kick In
- Wait for System to Finish Loading

Open Android Market
- If it opens without an error GREAT!
- If it opens with the same error... give it a couple minutes or multiple tries at opening (it will go through)
- You may want to just wait for it to tell you there are updates in the Market... it will definitely work from that point on.

Gonna try Singularity Beta2 when I get home. I never got Vestinious to work on my M009s but got EKEN M009s 1.3.0 to work, so I think there is hope for me. I'll post how it goes.

Thanks!

Guys I read that you can do this:

"Copy the file: Res_WmtWeather.tgz
From the directory \m009s130\M009S_110520量产\FirmwareInstall\packages
into the C:\HYBRiD_WM8650_UBEROID_1.3.0_v5\FirmwareInstall\packages
folder, then copy the conents of the folder C:\HYBRiD_WM8650_UBEROID_1.3.0_v5 onto your microsd card and root as normal."

Do you know if that would work with other APK files if they were put in there prior to flashing?

Also is there a way to remap the volume buttons to work backwards so the up is down and down is up?

To add new apps do this,

Open the firmware here FirmwareInstall/packages/fs_patch/data_patch/app
Then just copy the apk files you want and then flash as normal, NOTE not all apk's will work due to some other dependensies but its trial and error.

As for key remapping I will take a look, we used to do it on the older Eken's but with the M009s I just havent looked.

If you open packages/android2.2-froyo with 7zip (DONT EXTRACT !) and then move to /system/usr/keylayout you can open and edit the keyboard locations like volume.

For example in the english.us.kl the up and down volume are keys 114 & 115 so reversing them should work - note this may also effect other apps that are linked to those buttons !

Installed Singularity Beta2 fine on my M009s Blue LED. This is the first non-stock ROM I could install (no luck with Vestinious or Uberoid in the past) Works great! So much better than the Stock ROM.

Thanks

Thats excellent to hear !, hows it working for you any issues and please provide suggestions for apps etc as I wil be changing apps to make it a full rounded/loaded firmware but not going to the bloatware levels of course.
