Besides the obvious mentioned so many times (web surfing, calendar, tasks, games, docs, music), e-reading (digital books and magazines) and most especially...art. I have a genetic condition that causes disability and limited use of my hands and the ability to do art on the tab is awesome because it's much less painful on my hands. :)

Also, it's great for all the hospital stays...helps keep me from going crazy!

Improvise, adapt an overcome :)

Good to hear stories of tech being used to enrich people's quality of life in such a substantive way. Wow you've really got me thinking about other ways these inexpensive pieces of technology could be applied to benefit people with a variety of disabilities, thanks so much for the inspiration.

Haven't got mine yet. Hope to store and play all my music. I'm new to tablets and to Android, but have been looking at some cool apps. I don't play games but have found a lot of old ones I,d like to try.

Playing games on a tablet is a lot of fun, but it's also very useful for keeping up with my social needs whilst traveling around.

When I first got my tablet, It was most useful to pass the time by playing games and checking my email since I can't do it on my phone yet.

I am using my tablets in my car. I have installed two tablets on the back of headrests of the front seats, and they are being used for entertainment on the go.

I use mine for the games and e-mail mostly, but I also use it for the IT Tool apps you can get for free. These come in very handy for me at work. Some of the apps that I use are Fing, Wifi Analyzer, and Wi-Fi Analytics.

Mostly internet surfing, reading email.
Using the tablet has decreased my use of my desktop, even when at home.
Tethered to my cellphone, it is always on the internet.

I use mine for e-mail, web surfing, gaming and reading. I hardly ever use my laptop now, I don't really need it.
If my tablet had a DVD ROM drive I would get rid of my laptop and buy something far more useful.

I use my phone to surf the net and get emails so I'm hoping when I decide on which tab to get it'll be a lot easier to do this. I expect theres lots more to do so this is an interesting thread! :)
