After using the forum for almost a year, during which I've been mostly getting and applying all the awesome information accumulated here, I feel it is now the time to contribute to the fellow community.
Introduction:
Who are we?
We are a company of 2 technology lovers - Dennis (myself) and Dave. I am in Toronto. Dave's in Hong-Kong (lurking somewhere on the forum too)
I am running the store while Dave is sourcing the right products and negotiating with factories.
I've been into online retail business for almost two years now. Keep learning and getting busier since. Moving towards doing this full time.
To me the current Android wave is awesome thing to be involved into that I frankly enjoy. Both technological and business parts of this are exciting. The Android is here to last and so is the Hitechleague.
I am doing most of coding on the website myself so some parts might seem a bit out of tune, sorry for that. The main idea is to keep the store simple and neat. I think I was able to achieve that with how things look now but if anybody has ideas or comments about what can be improved I will be happy to hear from you!
What do we offer?
We are offering the most "value for money" Android tablets that China is to offer. Along with handy accessories. We will also be expanding into cellphones market later.
The competition is tight, how are you different?
Best price? - I don't think so. It's difficult to beat Chinese retailers that have privilege of sending products straight from where they are produced. Also in most cases the best price means less attention to details and lack of personal touch and we don't want that.
I believe we offer three strong points among the competitors:
1) Whatever is on the website ships out from Toronto.
Shipping rates are reasonable - 7" models ship at 9$ flat rate across Canada. USA and international buyers have to contact me individually for shipping rates. We are always able to ship directly from China too when we out of local stock. This option works better for outside Canada customers. In this case again Dave will test everything at his side.
2) I myself test every single unit I receive before sending it to the buyer.
I personally hate receiving defective electronics so I make sure people who buy from me get fully working products.
3) Customer service
Difficult to rate myself objectively on this one but me and Dave have been doing our best to support our buyers since day one.
What can you guarantee?
I am not kidding when I say that:
1) We know what we sell
2) Our prices might not be the best but they are competitive
3) Your order will be fully tested and in absolute working condition
4) Our processing time is within 48 hours
