Hi again!

So, after a few days of testing I have some questions/thoughts on this ROM and some problems I´m having with some apps and the tablet itself.

So, after fixing the market thing, i´ve been able to download several apps, like Facebook, Twitter, Skype etc... the tablet runs faster and it´s quite ok, but I have some problems I would like to share in order to know whether it´s just my case or it´s related to the ROM and they´ll be fixed...

- The power indicator drops down from 100 % to 8 0% almost immediately after a full battery charge. And then it´s stays there fo w hile. Also, it goes from 20% to nothing (mean the tablet powers off) without any advise, very often. The bat. lasts quite long, but the indicator is wrongly showing the charge %.

- Skype (at least the latest version from the Market) does not work, it keeps on connecting but never opens, not sure if there is an older version working fine

- Twitter does not allow me to log in, I can browse etc... but I cannot log in

- There is an issue with the downloaded apps and their widgets. Once they are installed, I can select their widget from the list, and so it works, but if I switch off the tablet or the connection is down for a momnet, sometimes the Widget crashes and shos an error message (the message says Not possible to load the widget) and then the app disappears from the list, I cannot get to place the widget back again. No matter whether I swap between Launchers, or clear the cache... unless i install it once again I won´t be able to have the widget again. :nea:

- With launcher Pro, i tried its own Widgets but when I try to link them with my Twitter or FB account, it says there is a connectivity problem and I cannot use them

- Whatsapp doesn´t work as It does not recognize "the phone"... :(

I´ll come up with more feedback, eventually.

If anyone could help out with the above or share their feedback with the room could be cool.

Regards,

I have tried installing this rom on what I THINK is a M900s.

However, when I put the card in a boot, it just loads as normal. I don't get any installation options

Once you have placed all the files on your external SD.
Run the file called changer.bat while still connected to your PC.

Then you can select an option.

Regards,

The power is not necessarily an issue just how many systems handle battery life... they will show 100 then the first tick is 5+ %... I wouldn't worry about the number shown there... just the actual use you get out of it.

There is a slight modification to the build.prop that you need to do to allow skype to stay open after logging in. - It REQUIRES ROOT access.
- You can find it under the FAQ section

Option 1:
- Search for Skype Beta as it will allow you to log in and use IM chat
Option 2:
Thanks to Maindude for this:

**MUST HAVE ROOT ACCESS**

DISCLAIMER
I/We take no responsibility if you mess up your tablet.

Open: Root Explorer (or similar app file manager with root access)
Browse to: /system
Open/Edit file: build.prop
Find this line: ro.kernel.android.checkjni=1 (found towards the end of the file)
Change to: ro.kernel.android.checkjni=0
Save & Exit the file
Reboot your tablet

Skype should now load properly and allow you to log in.
- Audio and Text chat work on the C8 - I have not tried the MID816 yet.
It still DOES NOT send nor receive video.

Now we just have to wait for an officially update/fix from Skype that will hopefully enable Video as well.

Not sure on the twitter... but you may want to try another twitter client/app.

I think that is just due to the nature of the device... the processor probably has a bit of trouble handling the widgets.

Hard to say on the widgets and their connectivity.

Hope that helps some,

Tasselhof

hi,

You can try using Titaniun backup (personally I never used it)

- my tablet is (http://www.tinydeal....05-p-27180.html)

model:
WonderMedia WM8650

ANDROID VERSION:
2.2

KERNEL VERSION:
2.6.32.9-default

generic-eng2.2 Froyo Ver1.3.0-20110506.030727

GREEN LED
NO VIBRATION
MULTITOUCH

You don't until you try upgrading to some ROM. Luckily you won't brick by trying, so just pick one (slatedroid, modroid, drcheaps, uberoid) and try it!

- this upgrade have PORTUGUESE BRAZIL language?

thanks for help

All android's have portuguese brazilian, it's a matter of the software, not of the tablet.

boa sorte aew ;)

I doubt there is much that can be done about that because of the tablet hardware.
If you are looking for a tablet that can play just about any game, you should look at the MID816R2, T9, or C8.

I doubt there is much that can be done about that because of the tablet hardware.
If you are looking for a tablet that can play just about any game, you should look at the MID816R2, T9, or C8.

Hi, I would like to try your ROM. I've got a M009D (M009 Dual) with green led and vibrate on start. It already has got market. Does your ROM work on this device? Thank you.

Ok, I tried myself. Option 1 and 2 don't install. Option 8 installs and everything works apart the wifi. I can't find a Wireless folder to delete as said in the first post of this topic. Of course I can't try the market at the moment. Can you help me?

Thank you in advance. :)
