As seen here:
http://www.hitechlea...t-adapter-rj-45
There it shows this adapter is compatible among others with Android OS 2.1/2.2.
And here:
http://www.aliexpres...holesalers.html
It says it is compatible with linux kernel 2.4 and up.

So, Did anybody already try any of this usb to lan ( RJ45 ) adapters?

Does the android kernel (2.4 and up) already include the adapter driver?

The idea would be to use it witha rk2818 tablet which has a fully sized USB host port, of course.

Thanks

I've heard from other Craig CMP738a owners that the "USB to Ethernet" adapters work fine.

Have not tried it myself, but I intend to get one and try it out.

Not sure if it requires a specific model or manufacturer, or if they all work about the same.

When I find out more, I will post it here.

Hey Lanosalf,

Thanks for bringing this up.
As a seller of these adapters I should have included the tablet compatibility list on the website. I will get that done.
I myself tried the adapter with two of RK2818 tablets that I carry - Wopad and Trackpad. Both work plug and play. No additional drivers required.
Hope this helps!
