Try posting in the BPDN Subforum to begin with.

Follow mrsb's wiki link and go to the subforum above on FW development and read some of the threads stickied at the top.

Hi mrsburnout. I'm a new member and I wanted to tell I really appreciate your patience. I don't understand why people are double, triple, quadrupling the same postings on the same topics! I'm new here and I see it!

I think you are cool for handling it the way you are. :)

Killing the 'Cell Standby'

-- This applies to Pandigital Novel 9 inch black Multimedia Ereader only --

1> download Reobeet's firmware update and install it - found in forum 'Pandigital Novel 9 inch Tablet' dated '03 March 2011 06:43'.
2> download and install 'Android Hacker' app - found in (? one of the Pandigital forums on this site) by Terminander, dated '09 oct 2011 12:29 pm'.
3> download and install apps,, z4Root by MP4 ver 1.3 or better - superuser by ?.
4> when all are installed the coding found in Terminander will do wonders...

ie..
Code:
adb shell mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/mmcblk0p5 /system
adb shell mv /system/app/Phone.apk /system/app/Phone.OLD
adb shell mv /system/app/TelephonyProvider.apk /system/app/TelephonyProvider.OLD
adb reboot

Using Android Hacker's input/coding screen to type the following code:

mount -o remount rw /dev/block/mmcblk0p5 /system
mv /system/app/Phone.apk /system/app/Phone.OLD
- the system will give an error message that you can't clear, Reboot the tablet.

----- Then:

mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/mmcblk0p5 /system
mv /system/app/TelephonyProvider.apk /system/app/TelephonyProvider.OLD
Reboot

The above example is how to kill the 'Cell Standby' on the tablet and saves a lot on battery usage.

So just find the ADB coding for the change you want to make and use 'Android Hacker' to input the code.
