Hello All!

I was wondering if anyone knows of an Android 2.2 update to the original HyPE-Pad (which I purchased from Buy-a-Droid in December). I was wondering if the build from the new HyPE-Pad 2 can be transferred right over? I don't need it as everything is working fine, but... <grin>

Actually, not everything is working fine, so I'll go off topic right at the start. Usually I can't turn on my HyPE-pad without it being plugged in and charging. The moment the screen comes on after pressing the power button I can unplug the tablet and the tablet continues booting with no problem. Puzzling.

Thanks for your input.

Android 2.2(Froyo)

Unfortunately the HyPE-PAD 2 Firmware can not be flash onto the HyPE-PAD version 1 (256mb) unit. There are differences in the way the version 2 firmware works(partitioning etc).

There is a beta Froyo rom available for the HyPe-PAD( version 1) . But I can not recommend it at the moment.

Android 2.1 (Eclair) is the stable firmware.

Power issue.

I will check with the supplier on this.
