The Amazon AppStore has DRM, but allegedly it's up the developer if they want to use it or not. The apps I've tested so far (even the fully free ones) seem to "phone home" by default. Backup and move an app to another device and it will NOT run unless you have the Amazon app installed, your ID setup and Wifi enabled. This is not a requirement on that same free app if it exists in the Google Market and you get it from there.

My personal preference is that I use the Amazon AppStore for the "Deal of the Day", but for fully free apps I still use the Google Market. I don't like DRM.

Seems to be the case..
I copied the other libdvm.so file over, deleted the cache and reinstalled the appstore..
Installed fine, logged in. Updated. Reloaded and it was still logged in (not sure it was doing that before).
Installed Angry Birds Rio.. No prob...
Ran it.. Fine..

Closed it. Disabled WiFi..
Reran Angry Birds Rio..
Still ran...

I'm rebooting and trying again now...
Yep, rebooted, no WiFI.. Just started Rio and it worked..

So it looks like another "doesn't play well" with JIT..

Re-installed from a fresh link from Amazon (they e-mail a link).
(I tried re-installing from the apk I DLd from here again yesterday, this morning I was starting totally new)

I reinstalled, it loaded.
I logged in. It took me to My Apps (not sure if this was the first time that worked, but that doesn't usually..).

I re-DLed the first app on the list.
It DLed, and I installed it. It took me back to the Main Amazon Appstore page..
I went back to My Apps, and it showed it briefly, and went back to the Appstore Main page.. Just like it used to do..

So, somethings still not happy...

Update: (Still not working)
Doing more playing.. I noticed that in my Amazon account info, it showed a whole bunch of "devices".
Names like: unknown PD_Novel_1, unknown PD_Novel_2, etc..

So I uninstalled everything from my WPDN.
I deregistered the devices from the Amazon page..
I installed Amazon Appstore on my WPDN..
Logged in, and I had unknown PD_Novel show up.. OK, so far so good..
Reinstalled Angry birds.. Downloaded fine.. Installed fine... Went back to the Apps screen. (It let me back in to that screen) Launched it from there.. It started, and gave me an error that said I should re-download it.. I clicked OK, went back to the Appstore, and I had to log in again.. Hmmm
I did.. Logged in again fine.. Checked my account again, and:
unknown PD_Novel AND unknown PD_Novel_1 now..
So, when I logged back in, it created a new "device"..
Hmmm...
So, I killed the appstore, and logged back in.. ANOTHER NEW DEVICE..
Everytime I log in, I am getting a "new device" in my Amazon account..
And apps aren't working for me.. At all now.. I know I played Angry Birds Rio and Doodle Jump a few times when I first got them, but I can't now...

Oh well...

Another wrinkle: I, too, have the issue of multiple devices being registered with every use of the app. BUT, I cannot get past the home screen of the app. Every time I try to select anything other than the home screen (My Apps, a specific app, a search, etc) it kicks me back to the home screen. I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalling. I've even tried reinstalling an older version (that I had backed up), to no avail. I tried contacting Amazon Customer Service. The rep tried to help, couldn't but created a ticket for the developers and gave me a $5.00 credit. The developers just sent me a note saying that they don't know what else to have me try. So, I was wondering if anyone here has any thoughts?

Rio is the only angry birds I can get to work. I got it off some dodgy site which I hate to do, but I can't get Amazon's apps to load. They stall in the middle of the download. Is there a fix for this?

I have a wpdn thats fairly new about a month or so old so it should be the newest firmware. It's not hacked or anything.
