(updated 3/16/2011)
There's a README in the ZIP, but here are the instructions:
Pre-req: You need your Xoom's fastboot recovery unlocked, and experience on how to use fastboot and adb. There are other threads on that, so I won't go into that here.
- Unzip the image file to the same folder as your fastboot binary
- Type this:
fastboot flash system system.hri66.rootprepped.img fastboot reboot
- After the device reboot, you will need adb to fix su permissions:
./adb remount ./adb shell chmod 6755 /system/bin/su
EDIT: Keep in mind these adb commands require an "unlocked" boot.img. You could get around it on stock, but requires some more work to complete. The adb commands are for enabling root access, only.
You're system is now HRI66, rooted, Superuser.apk installed as well as Busybox. Basically, all I did was mount their HRI39 system.img and injected all the HRI66 updated files to the image, as well as the root-required items.
