These videos and interviews with the maker look good, but is there anybody out there that actually has the device? Has anybody bought one. It seems very hard to purchase one, there are invites and talk of sold out runs before the invites actually go out, but so far I haven't read a report from anyone that has one in their hands.
I really want to see them out there...
Anybody?

Should have a review for one soon. I'll post a link once it is up. :)

I have one, for the past 3 weeks.  I'm not the video type of Guy.  I suggest you go to either WWW.notioninkhacks.com or WWW.notioninkfan.com for full reviews.

Thanks- But I wasn't looking for another NotionInk review. I have been reading about SO many problems with payments being refused, or devices not received, that I really just wanted a real person to say, "Yes, I did actually but one and I got it and it works." It's good to see that this device is real.
I am wanting one, BAD...

I think NI made a bad choice with CCAvenue, and I've said this a few times on the NIH site. If the USA is their main market, they should have used PayPal.

Devices have definitely shipped to people, but there have also been ordering issues.

Yes there have been some serious issues with getting devices out to people. We ordered ours back in December and just finally got it yesterday. I do need to note that we got one email saying the device was delayed due to a problem with the touchscreen. That said it still should not have taken so long.

Here is an unboxing of the device we just got.

Well, all I can say is that i am seriously relieved. I've been reading so many posts about problems and late shipments, that i was beginning to wonder about the product. Can't wait to see your review on usage. It appears to be one of the best tablets so far.
Thanks again-

Got the Adam in my hands yesterday. Still playing and forming a real opinion but I have to agree with a lot of the comments made by Chris on MyTabletLife.com. I'll post some more in a day or two. :)

They couldn't use PayPal as it only accepts payments up to $500 for Indian Merchants and it is also not readily available all over the world.

I have one and love it. I pre-ordered in the first round and got it Feb. 5th. It took 4 days from shipping notice to doorstep.

I have one but I did not order it directly from Notion Ink. I won it on eBay and finally received it a couple of days ago. I'm fairly new to Android devices so it's been a bit of a learning curve but I'm pretty happy with it overall. Mine has the Pixel Qi screen.

Do you like the Pixel Qi screen and does it function well in daylight? That is the screen I'm hoping to get. Just got an email from NI so maybe they are going to have another sale soon.

I've got the 3g-Wifi-PixelQi version running Roebeet's most excellent EdenX 2.3.0. I love my Adam, it's not without some issues yet, the GPS lock-on and bluetooth pairing/file transfer issues for example, but these all look to be software/driver issues so no worries there. Now the the PixelQi, well... Its awesome for viewability in different lighting conditions. It does have a pretty narrow viewing angle but I'm usually looking directly at it (holding it or sitting on a stand) so that has not been a problem for me. Comparing it to a regular LCD it is "washed out" color wise but unless I'm actually comparing it to another screen I don't notice it. Outside it is amazing very Kindle/e-ink like. Now that the weather here is warming up I like to sit outside at lunch and read on it and it's great for that. As a "first generation" product I say over all NI has done a good job. There is room for improvement but I have no regrets so far. FYI the rounded, expanded edge does make for a very comfortable holding experience. I also have a gtab (which truely is a sibling (near twin in many respects)) and holding the Adam is much more comfortable over the long haul.

I have the Adam 3G Wifi LCD and I have to say that I'm very happy with the device. I was very new to Android but that is what I wanted. I had been using Windows systems for so long that I nothing about them excited me. Learning how Android functions on the Adam was challenging. The device itself IMHO is superior to anything out on the market at this time. Ipad 1 & 2 no USB ports and no Flash support. The Adam has plenty of USB ports (2 full 1 mini) a microSD slot which I have an 8GB Class 6 card in, works perfectly. I have used the HDMI port to bring the Adam up on the "Big Screen". No problems there. I will say this about the Adam out of the box the ports and the hardware work, can't say that about the Motorola XOOM. The Adam is new to the Market and the company NI is new as well, there have hardware issues, software issues, and customer support issues and if it wasn't for all of the great support offered by others the Adam tablet might had never got the momentum that it has right now. Everything is getting better, Notion Ink is responding to customer's problems, they are realeasing updates to correct some of the issues reported but it will take some time. There are still issues being reported about the Bluetooth capability and GPS satellite lock-on and hopefully these will be resolved soon. We are very optimistic that we will be seeing HoneyComb very soon on the Adam. I hope this helps you in your decision about the Adam.

That's my 2c (2 cents)

Looks a very nice tablet and for once one with time spent on the aesthetics.
Looking to get a Tegra 2 in the future but keeping an eye on whats available and this one is looking one of the better ones.
