Below are instructions for getting the C8 Android Marketplace to show all available apps.
I have taken Gushie's original instructions and attempted to further detail them.

Root the tablet (the permanent root found here http://slatedroid.co...p?topic=15151.0 - can be a little figity)
- Make sure your wireless is on and connected

Edit the build.prop file
1) Open Root Explorer
2) Browse to System
3) Click and hold on build.prop (on bottom)
- Scroll down to Edit Text
4) Click on the Text to Allow Modification
- Find this line: ro.build.fingerprint= (located about half way down)
5) Change it to the following
- ro.build.fingerprint=google/passion/passion/mahimahi:2.2/FRF91/43546:user/release-keys
- or -
- ro.build.fingerprint=generic/utv210/utv210/smdkv210:2.2/FRF91/eng.urbetter.20110301.142336:eng/test-keys
6) Save the File

Open Android Market and then Click on Home (launcher)

Go to Settings->Applications->Manage->Running
- Click Market
- Then Clear Cache (NOT CLEAR DATA!!!!)
- Then Force Stop
- Click Google Services Framework
- Click Clear Data
- Click Force Stop

Open Android Market (it will error this is GOOD!)

Shutdown and Restart the tablet
- Wait for Wireless to Kick In
- Wait for System to Finish Loading

Open Android Market
- If it opens without an error GREAT!
- If it opens with the same error... give it a couple minutes or multiple tries at opening (it will go through)
- You may want to just wait for it to tell you there are updates in the Market... it will definitely work from that point on.

Thanks again Gushie!

Has this worked for anyone? I can't see most Market apps even with this fingerprint; Including simple free applications like Angry Birds.

Yeah, Seasons appears on everyone's Market, it's a different type.
I can't see Skype at all though.

May I know what is FULL Market Access and what is not?
How do you define it? My tablet comes with market access but I'm not sure is it a "Full" access.
Can anyone advise how to check whether it is full access?

Full Market access I guess is relative... it definitely adds additional programs, but there are probably still some left out.

I'm guessing Angry Birds defines some hardware features our tablet isn't indicating it supports, so it doesn't appear (based on Asure's ROM changelog).
Wangen - What did you do to get Skype, The OP steps?

You can just push it from with ADB.
Here is a link to 1.4.2 from my DropBox account.

Greetings:

If I updated to the March 1, 2011 Firmware on my Tablet does the following

step by step procedure to enable full market access still work with this new firmware?

I copy/pasted this procedure here:

Edit the build.prop file
1) Open Root Explorer
2) Browse to System
3) Click and hold on build.prop (on bottom)
- Scroll down to Edit Text
4) Click on the Text to Allow Modification
- Find this line: ro.build.fingerprint= (located about half way down)
5) Change it to the following
- ro.build.fingerprint=google/passion/passion/mahimahi:2.2/FRF91/43546:user/release-keys
6) Save the File

Open Android Market and then Click on Home (launcher)

Go to Settings->Applications->Manage->Running
- Click Market
- Then Clear Cache (NOT CLEAR DATA!!!!)
- Then Force Stop
- Click Google Services Framework
- Click Clear Data
- Click Force Stop

Open Android Market (it will error this is GOOD!)

Shutdown and Restart the tablet
- Wait for Wireless to Kick In
- Wait for System to Finish Loading

Open Android Market
- If it opens without an error GREAT!
- If it opens with the same error... give it a couple minutes or multiple tries at opening (it will
go through)
- You may want to just wait for it to tell you there are updates in the Market... it will definitely
work from that point on.

Only if you have flashed with the modified firmware that allows ROOT access again.
As it stands.. the "stock" 3-1 firmware blocks ROOT access.

I know I sort of asked this in one of my other posts, but just a quick question:

How much am I missing out without doing this process?

Thanks again!

After you changed the fingerprint... did you clear cache etc... on the Market and Google Services?
Then did you reboot?
