Received a Hype-Pad a few days ago through Jim. Great service.
I like it a lot and everything works so far except I cannot connect to Windows 7 or XP through the supplied USB a to a cable.
When I connect the cable, nothing happens on the PC or tablet end. No notifications on any kind.
The USB ports on both the PC and tablet work. I used a thumb drive to transfer files.

Have looked through all the forums and tried everything.
Only thing left is maybe a bad cable. Not very likely.

Just wondering if anybody here had a similar experience?

Hi

Just a few question before we can help

1. What are you trying to do with the HyPE-PAD

1.1 Re flash image with burntool?
1.2 access unit as USB drive with drive letter under windows?

Can you detail the steps you took when connecting the unit to the pc?

Kind Regards

Yogi

Thanks for your interest.
I just want to see the tablet from Windows and then maybe do something.
I have tried the connection several different ways,e.g. PC first, then reverse it.;connect tablet before power on;etc.
I got another cable coming next week and will try that.

As far as I know, and I may be wrong on this, the cable is only for using burn-tool to flash the tablet. I don't think you can hook up to your PC to do anything else with it.

Hi

That is correct (about the burn tools).  You cannot browse the tablet like a USB drive.

I post further instructions a bit later.  I think I have a simple solution for you.

Thanks guys for the last two replies.
They were an eye opener for me. I guess this tablet is different from many others in that regard.
I look forward to yogi's instructions on how to do it.

Hey

Heres the update

1.  Goto the Market or Appbrain.  It appears in both.
2  Search FOR APP WIFI Explorer Pro.  It is free
3  Install it onto the tablet, run app.

4.  It will pop-up a url and address(write this down) (while it is connected to your wifi network  eg. http://10.0.0.2:8000)

5 Goto to your WINXP computer.
6 Open your browser. Firefox etc
7 Type in the IP adress into the url window. Hit go.

8 Browse your tablet from your pc and copy files etc.

Hope this helps.

Edited due to missed clarification step and SPELILING ;)

Just a FYI,  I was able to use this on my Vista x64 computer also.

This is really cool, I have been looking for a way to transfer files to and from my tablet and my PC.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks YD looking into this. The Pro version costs a little, around $1.25.
I downloaded your suggestion and it works just great.
One thing though that a little annoying:
If you have two SD cards inserted, it finds the second one(D:) and i didn't see any way to change that.
You just have to extract it and the program finds the C: drive.

Other than that, it does as advertised.

The screen shot is from a PC. But the folders and data inside are on the SD card in the flytouch II.

No Usb cable needed.
