Hi,
I have an M002 and I can't seem to find a new , working firmware for it.

It is running 1.6.

I downloaded the new firmware from the eken site and I copied the 'Script' folder onto my SD card. The M002 then boots up and displays "Prepare software package..." and then doesn't do anything...just continues bootup as usual.

I tried reinstalling the current firmware and then trying to update to the one from the Eken site and that didn't work either.

I can't figure out how to install either of the .7z files I downloaded from this site.

Can someone please point me in the direction of a newer, working flash firmware update or instructions on how to use the .7z files.

Thanks in advance

Hi,
The firmware from Eken is for a latter processor that runs Android 2.2 thats why it didn't load, I used the firmware from the download section on two different units and it works great. You need to have the script folder only on the SD card, nothing else. Check it by opening up the folder on the SD.
On windows it should look like this: F:/script

When you open the script folder it should open out to about 10 other folders and files, If it opens to another script folder then you need to delete the first folder.

Thank you. I realized the problem was that I was on a Mac and didn't have a .7z expander installed.

I uncompressed the folder, copied the script folder to my sd card, it started the upgrade and now it seems to be stuck on "Copy Additional Files to File-System partition ok". It hasn't done anything for a while now.

What should I do?

Hi  i am still facing the problem  :) .. the steps followed  :

1) Download the firmware(for M002) from ekengroup website and extract it using 7z on windows desktop.

2) copy the the scripts folder to micro SD card and plug into Moo2 tablet.

3) start it

Observations:
it starts and displays "Prepare software package" and later it doesnt go to any upgrade steps but boots normally to the exisitng current version

Hi thanks for the reply . But i couldnt format my memory card(microSD) to fat38. The only option available is fat32. I googled for fat38 format but no success. I have made sure that there is only one folder in mcc i.e script

I have a problem. Although the script throw the card, nothing happens when you insert the card into Ekena. Someone can tell me why?
