Tell me please the mark of element circled in a red line. I suppose I've burned it cause of charger's wrong polarity.

PS Sorry for my bad english.
Today I tried to use a universal adapter and connected the plug with the wrong polarity. I smelled smoke in half a second. It still charges but not like before. I opened up the tablet and the IC definitely needs to be replaced.
I already did a search on some of the numbers but nothing comes up.
I would appreciate if you could post when you find out. Of course I will post if I find out first.
Thanks

I ask because I have an issue with my tablet. It will no longer charge the battery and in order to use it I must have it plugged in.

!!!!! FANTASTIC! THANK YOU! !!!!!
I have been trying to identify this IC but the markings were charred off. I tried to remove the IC in the hopes of reading the marking but it was burned and broke apart.
I was just about to post a request to see is someone can provide markings of a good one.
I will order this piece and report on my progress.

Unscrew 2 screws on the ports side.
Undo white clips along the 3 other sides.
That's all to open the back cover.

So the M7-M has no volume keys but build in bluetooth?
How does the backside feel, is it firm?

Quite a thick and rigid piece of plastic cover with good finishing. The slightly curved back feels quite good to hold when reading the M7-M in vertical orientation.
I think the bluetooth module is just above the internal microSD card, wrapped in masking tape.

First of all, it was obvious that it keeps boot / recovery / reflash software.
But also...
I removed internal SD card with 2.2 firmware, put a clean card and flushed 2.3. Then I put the 2.2 card back, boot and what do I see??? I see Android 2.3 with all my Android 2.2 apps there, and working! Looks like system partition is copied to the internal memory
But, some apps lost their settings, some stopped working (inc. Market), so I have to reflash again...

during battery change to M816 Battery, which result very good, lot better battery life, stable voltage (no battery level fluctuation)
take off the back panel using hairdryer method + suction cup + lot of patience

Hello
I noticed that on all dissection videos, pictures there is beige colored Atheros wifi chip. And on your's pictures some black wifi chip, like in mine tablet. What chip model is this? How does it works? I'm asking because mine doesn't work so good, but it might be firmware or antenna fault. Thanks.

I did this because the wifi signal created interference with the audio.
I moved the wifi antenna, and now the interferance is alsmost gone, i have to turn off the volyme and put my ear against the speaker to hear it

Marked in red is the original antenna location and marked in yellow is the new location. I also got the nand chip and a sandisk class 4 micro sd card

- prefer not to use hairdryer -might melt the plastic
- prefer not to use screw-drivers knives, machetes, etc -the underside is easily scratched & the plastic is clearly brittle
- apply suction-cup to corner
- once backing has lifted a little (easyPeasy), insert strong, thin piece of cardbaord (= 4me, packaging of sandisk microsd card i just bought)
- s-l-l-o-w-l-y, from one side to the other, push card all around edges,, &making sure to do the middle before going more than half-way down both edges -prevents the plastic from bending 2much.
- then, marvel at the micro-architecture hidden within!

Can you tell me what the markings are on the black chip about 1 inch to the right of the internal sd card,
next to the white "ha na" sticker. My device doesn't have that chip and I like to know what it is.
Since your device has BT I assume that's what the chip is for.

It's a 4-port USB 2.0 Hub chip, Probably vital to the functioning of the internal USB BT dongle.
Here's the link to the chip's datasheet;
