Hello -  I was wondering if someone sold a charger for this thing?  Or if someone knows the pinout, so we can mod a ipod/ipad cable?

I'm just paranoid about losing/breaking this one and not being able to charge it.

First off, what a username.

Second, I'm with you on this.  Ever since receiving this tablet, I feel like I've been walking on ice in respect to the charger.  They only include one and I've been fearing the inevitable.  Guess what?

It happened yesterday.  My charger no longer works.  I really need to figure something out now.

I know how you feel, I lost my charger during a business trip and fortunately I realizedthat I leftit in my hotelroom and i had to prey the hotel receptionist to double check in the room to find it and send it over rto me via parcel post... 25US$ for 300 miles from Chambery-France to Milan, Italy. Iordered a spare new chargerto Merimobiles back on DEC 20TH but I have seen nothing yet. I thought that a 9V universal charger connected to a USB cable couldfit using the USB adaptor supplied with the tablet?

Androidtouchpc has a charger advertised for $15 USD.  I sent them a note today about which tablet it is compatible with and will let you know when I hear back from them.

Hi, Iwas finally delivered the spare charger from MMand the original one decided tostop working as couple of days ago. I am back now to the fear of having also the new one fail... IMHO 15$ for a charger is a real robbery.Anyone knowsif the USB cable can alsowork as a charger cable if cnnected to a 9 V chrger (assuming that I find one,as most of them are set for 5V.

I don't think the straight USB connection is powerful enough to charge the tablet.  Kinda like with the iPad.  People were upset that you can't just charge via USB.  Bigger screens take more power. ;D

Pinout is different anyway.

Bad design choice there. use ipod 30pin connector but change pins so ipod cables will not work.

I would have preferred a separate power plug and a USB A or Mini USB B port.

Had my cracked screen replaced for $50 including shipping because I couldn't find a source for a replacement because of Chinese New Years.

Turnanround was about a week and it works even a little better than before I broke it.

From what I've been able to see, the old firewire iPod charger will work. The tablet indicated that it was charging while plugged into an actual firewire port. I'll test it more extensively later.

I ordered the screen from merimobiles for $30!

The charger supplies 9v (more or less), so it needs to be a charger and not an usb

Also my 2nd charger is now gone! Mine is the one with the connector similar to the IPAD but with different pins set-up; anyone has an idea where to a new one? Merimobiles which kindly provided me the 2nd one after the 1st one was gone does not have any more of that kind.

If this is similar to the imx515 then I ordered this and it works. Hope that helps.
