Hi all.

I need some help here,from the developers.
I just upgraded my eken m003 with android 2.2
Everything works great,only one thing and that is the resulution.
I have a double screen now(2inch from the bottom the screen comes again)

so my question is what file makes the screen size?

or is there a way to make the screensize right?

where did you find the upgrade? does it have the real market now? I have an m003 and it is very disappointing. I'd love to upgrade this thing and make it more than a paperweight.

it;s not the original m003 update,and the resolution is not right yet.
iff i can manage to get the resolution right,i will try to upload it here

The problem is in your scriptcmd, What it probably is is that your resolution is set to use a 7" screen the easiest way to fix it would be to try this:

hi

i don't want to run it from sd cart.
i did flash it and everything works great..also audio and movies play great.

i tryed to change the script file,but there is also an rescriptcmd file,and when i change the resolution there..i don't boot to go flashing.

M003 m001 firmware on Eken

The M001 Parameters Should Be:
setenv lcdparam 1,30000,8,800,480,48,40,40,3,29,13
setenv LCDC_FB 7900000
setenv pwmparam 0,4,599,449

and the M003 Parameters Should Be:
setenv lcdparam 1,40000,8,800,600,20,46,210,10,23,12
setenv LCDC_FB 7900000
setenv pwmparam 0,4,599,449

Hi there,
if you used the M009 ROM from the Eken site, its not 2.2 8although it says so) , it the old 1.6 with a new WMT version (2.1.2)
I have built my new UNgoogle version for M001 upon it, its running really smooth, but its not froyo 

I also have given some thought on how to convert the M001 Version into the M003 version. Surfer is right, you need to change the scriptcmd and the resriptcmd, but you will have to rebuild the header of the files, like this:

(General steps editing SCRiPTCMD)

1. Remove litter from scriptcmd
NEEDS: Text editor that handles LF-only line endings
(i.e. VIM, WinVI: http://www.winvi.de/en/download.html)

- Open script.txt with the editor and erase the binary header, the first few
"strange" lines, the first script line is a setenv command, or mmcinit.

2. Edit script.txt as you desire
NEEDS: scriptcmd from the rom you want to mod, rename it to script.txt
NEEDS: Text editor that handles LF-only line endings
(i.e. VIM, WinVI: http://www.winvi.de/en/download.html)

- Now you can edit:
* RAM (mem=237M == 256MB ; mem=109 == 128MB),
* Flash Countdown Procedure
* Resolution
* G-Sensor
* Vibra
* Camera
* Modem 3g
* Release Version
* Bluetooth
* PPPOE
* Bootscreen BMP filename / props
* Power Options

3. Execute mkimage:
-A arm -O linux -T script -C none -a 0 -e 0 -n "info" -d script.txt scriptcmd
NEEDS: www.hyfse.com/armVT8500/mkimage-win.zip

i did both files with it,but then he skips booting from the cript files..he just startup the os.

i hope someone with the skills can make this rom work for our eken m003.

i think i have to copy something like told above.

youtupe plays in good quality wifi connects direct(faster the other firmware)

appplanet can be installed.

sbptv work like a charme...

As you told me,you build your ungoogle rom from this one,I just copy your script and rescript files to the script folder off the rom i want.

he started with..the countdown screen..7sec 6 sec  etc etc.

then nothing..just booted in the right resolution...so now it's working very nice...

wierd but ehh i worked.

Hello sevensheaven,      how did you do it exactely?      I did it this way (but no success!)      1. installed normal M009 with wrong screensize    2. copied the files scriptcmd and rescriptcmd of ungoogled rom onto sd-card into folder script.    3. install this modified sd-card  but still wrong screensize.      Please give me a help to be successful as you.      After managing the rigt screensize, is the look the same as with wrong screensize or is it looking different then?      Thanks for your help      Rainer

hi i did it exacly as you say.

First i installed the m009 and afther i have a bad screen size(double screen)
Then i take the two files from the un-google script (scriptcmd and rescriptcmd )
I copy and over write the files in de script folder already on my sd cart(the m009 one)
I shut down the tablet,put in the sd cart.

It start up and say it start in 7,6,5,4........ i leave everything and voila..normal 800x600 screen,with the slide to unlock.

everything works fine now.

only thing changed was the icone's from the second screen..the looks smaller now.

mabey you should calbrate the screen before you update.

I did that,because i wanted to play with it.
Afhter i updated,i calibrated again.

Hi Stef,  yes I calibrated the wrong screen with usb mouse, because with finger it was not possible.  I will try again.  So the look is different then.  Maybe anyone of the very good boys can make changes so that the look will not be changed, only the right screensize and touchpad calibration.  That would be wonderful.  Rainer

a) This Eken 009 version FW include Android Market and Google Apps? Run ok?
Is really an  ANDROID 2.2 fw?
c) Tablets run without problemas?
d) If all answers are ok, can you upload this upgrade version (including resizing files) ?
