I hope someone will post after updating with this firmware.  I am currently using TouchmaxC and would love to know the pros vs. cons of this firmware as opposed to the ATPC firmware I purchased.

that firmware is in our download section its the one that says update, I put it on my tablet but I could not get market to to work . but that could have been my fault I had modified some things earliers

According to the Video there are supposed to be 4 files

System.img
System.md5
uramdisk.img
uramdisk.md5

But when I open apad-imx515-v1.01-laotao-20101218.rar I only find:
System.img

And file system2.2-40 with market.rar contains one file
system2.2-40 with market.img

Since this doesn't match the Video, I doubt the procedure given will work.

I downloaded it yesterday and I can see these 4 files and update my tablet. Try re-download the RAR file ;)

Just tested the upgrade with the two speaker model. Market, GMail and Youtube work great, but the gsensor is messed up (expected). When playing games it's off +90� and landscape orientation is inverted.

Can anyone comment on whether or not this changes the touchscreen behavior?

G-sensor remains broken and probably wont get a fix.

Touchscreen behavior remains the same. Unresponsive and shaking. Tried a factory reset after the update, but did not help.

Seems to be an unofficial firmware based on the latest release. I will try it later if I manage to download the file. Is it possible to upload it to the download section here?

does this firmware suite all the generic variations of the IMX515 tablets?  I've got a single speaker unbranded version with 2 screws on the side where the connectors are.

It can be used on any IMX515, but the G-sensor works correctly only with the one speaker tab. It should work fine with yours, but you can never be 100% sure with these.
