I am new to android and tablets so this might be a real face slapper :(, but where are my widgets?  I found the menu to launch them but the only one I see is the Google search bar.  I've downloaded many and nothing has shown up.  They're not in the apps section.  Can someone throw me a bone?
I'm using 2.1 on an X5A
Thanks

not to sure what's going on, so try this am doing this on my X5A that have just reflashed and is not rooted yet

- long press on the desktop
- a window will pop up with "Add to homescreen" as thew title
- 2nd item down is "widget" press this
- Screen should pop open with "choose widget" as title, you can then scroll through and pick which widget you want from downloads and/or install one of the ones that are preinstalled
