I thought I'd start a new thread for those who have gotten the new firmware or are about to receive it. We can dissect it here. Discuss the pros and cons. Please limit the discussion to only their new firmware and not the project with Roger Calver.

I would like to know if the new firmware has addressed touch sensitivity at all. I'm not just addressing androidtouchpc, but anyone who has used the new firmware, since they don't like to answer that question.

No one have it yet? But they mention adjustment about the touch sensitivity.

Almost done with the updated A8 firmware. Flash working like a champ, Android Market rolling, and Google Apps firing, working on WIFI drivers (not open source), touch sensitivity adjustments as well.

No. Download file onto an mircroSDHC card or buy a SDcard with it alread installed from Androidtouch. You will use it in the TF slot, according to what they have posted.

our firmware will avoid the whole opening the A8 or anything internal. The firmware will work just fine by using the external sd card slot

MMMM.. They have a download area (once you are on the firmware page to buy the SD Card look on your left hand side) but it says Please enter the Download-ID you've got in the e-mail and click 'Start Download'.Which is all cool but how do you buy it? Also very quite on the 20 giveaways... Maybe its not so good as claimed? Maybe a case of sell as many as we can before these members on slatedroid trash it = No Sales? who knows...
