While at it ( Denver TAQ 10043 firmwares ) - and for fun - I made one for our Crystal 2 too.
Is it any better that the other 4.22s? Maybe not. Despite of that, it has not been "tweaked"
in any way - but I'm sure it will drain battery quite well as it is. It is just some stock(s) ported.

Interestingly this firmware seem to support trim, so it is more like a real Android 4.3.
Is manual trim then needed? IDK, but added the fstrim executable to the system anyway.
((init) script using it isn't included. you have to make it yourself, or use an app)

(To extract remove ".7z" from the end and run)

Use the Pad Product Tool v.1.07 or newer for flashing.

If a custom recovery is needed for a SDKv3.6, one can use these:

Other more recent firmware packages for Ainol Crystal 2 that I have made.

Updated portable custom recovery versions are in this post.
(Includes a flashable fstrim zip if occasional trimming is needed.)
