Hit me up through PM with an email addr so we can synch up on the GT78/D7 builds......I might need a little help getting started, but I can help out with those devices ( program/test ).

thanks. but I don't use PM.
everything is open for everyone. (e.g. original CyanogenMod, my source/binary)
I can help you but please clarify what you want to do. develop with source? just try binary?

I have a first-gen Augen GenTouch 78.
From http://teamtelechips...ental/20101212/
I downloaded
system.img.zip
and
D7.zip
I extracted them to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/cm6/
When I try to do and advanced nandroid restore, it says 'MD5 mismatch!' (taking the nandroid.md5 file from the D7.zip)
What am I doing wrong? (I also tried to fastboot flash just for the hell of it, even though I know you've already said it wouldn't work)

hi
please try
1. boot recovery & restore (& got MD5 error)
2. connect adb (adb shell)
3. enter following commands in adb prompt (#)
cd /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/cm6/
md5sum *
it should be
9c1e236fa3f41268f461049b85333837 boot.img
2eceed1e2505be29771a0696a3fb6115 nandroid.md5

i have a smartbook surfer (i think it is similar to GT78) and i can find a file called pointercal in /data/data/com.android.calibrate/ folder.
The content of the file is the following:
-61653 102 59284256 33 44905 -6221304 65536
I also executed busybox find / -name calc_table with no result.
Bye.

/system/etc/pointercal is correct on my CM port as a calibration data.
but I think we need to find "switch" to turn on touch screen.
(like /sys/class/input/input1/calc_table on COBY MID7015)
